Terms and Conditions Quilts by Teri / Quilting Teriapy

Welcome to Quilts by Teri. By placing an order, booking a class, renting equipment, or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Products & Services

All quilts and finished items are handmade and one-of-a-kind. Slight variations in color, stitching, or appearance may occur and are part of the handmade nature of the work. Product photos are provided for reference; actual appearance may vary slightly due to screen settings.

2. Pricing

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price in effect at the time of your order or booking.

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due in full prior to the release or shipment of any finished quilt or order, and prior to the start of any class or rental session.

Accepted forms of payment:

• Cash

• Cashier’s Check

• Postal Money Order

• Credit or Debit Card via secure PayPal invoice

Personal checks are not accepted. A $25 fee will apply to any returned cashier’s checks or money orders.

4. Orders & Custom Work

Custom quilting and made-to-order items require clear communication of your preferences. Once work has begun on a custom project, cancellations may be subject to a partial or full charge based on work completed and materials used.

5. Classes & Machine Rentals

Class fees and rental fees are due at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged.

Longarm machine rental requires prior completion of the required introduction class.

Cancellation policies for classes and rentals will be provided at the time of booking.

Participants are expected to follow all studio safety rules.

6. Shipping & Local Pickup

Local pickup is available by appointment. Shipping is available upon request; shipping costs and insurance are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated. Quilts by Teri is not responsible for delays or damage once the item has been transferred to the shipping carrier.

7. Returns & Refunds

Due to the handmade and one-of-a-kind nature of our products, all sales of finished quilts are final. If you receive a damaged item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos so we can assist you.

Class fees and rental fees are subject to the cancellation policy provided at booking.

8. Liability

Customers and class participants use studio equipment and facilities at their own risk. Quilts by Teri is not liable for personal injury or damage to personal property, except where required by law.

9. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions, your purchase, class, or rental, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting Quilts by Teri directly.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, the parties agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration shall take place in Riverside County, California, unless both parties agree otherwise. Each party shall bear its own costs of arbitration unless the arbitrator determines otherwise.

Any legal action that is not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California.

10. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be held liable or responsible for any failure or delay in performing obligations under these Terms when such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond reasonable control. These circumstances may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, power outages, pandemics, government actions, or other emergencies.

In such cases, the affected party will notify the other as soon as reasonably possible. Any scheduled class, rental, or service may be rescheduled or cancelled, and a full refund or credit will be offered when appropriate.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, photos, and designs on this website are the property of Quilts by Teri and may not be used without permission.

Renter agrees to operate the machine and equipment at their own risk.

Renter will not hold Quilts by Teri responsible for any injury caused to their person or damage caused to their quilt due to faulty operations.

Renter understands that, while instruction is given, the renter is the person performing the quilting and Quilts by Teri will not issue any refunds, take out any quilting or re-do any quilting if the quilting is found unsatisfactory.

Renter agrees to pay for any repairs or replacement of parts damaged while in operation caused by the renter.
